Today March 5th, 2021 Kurdistan Human Rights Association informed that Hossain Barati, a political prisoner, has been released.
Mr. Barati has been accused of coordinating with Kurdish anti-IRG political parties and served six months in prison.
He transferred to Ormye city’s prison in July 2020.
Initially, he was sentenced to serve five years in prison by Mr. Reza Najafi, a judge in branch 15 of Iran’s revolutionary court.
In Nov 2020, his lawyer appealed for a review of his case; then, the sentence was reduced to six months.
Mr. Barati, on July 2020 had been arrested and served twenty days in the confession solely cells and been transferred to Ormye prison.
