The Eastern Kurds are claiming asylum cases in the KRG

KMMK:
Kurdistan Human Rights Association has learned that several Kurds who fled from their home and stayed in the KRG for a long time have not received refugee status yet. They are showing their protest in a gathering in front of the UN office in Erbil.
The refuge Kurds have not been allowed to work and use public services since they have been held in the refugee camps and will ask Kurdistan’s government to recognize them as a refuge.

According to the Human Rights declaration, these individuals should have the right to have a refuge ID or be referred to a third save country by the UN office in Erbil.
Therefore, denying these people’s rights to have refuge status is a clear violation of human rights.
