Amnesty International’s warning about the physical condition of Zeinab Jalalian

According to a report from the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, Amnesty International, in a statement released on Friday 25 August 2017, warned of the physical condition of Zeinab Jalalian, a Kurdish political prisoner in the city of Khoy, from eastern Kurdistan.

Amnesty International calls for Zeinab Jalalian’s immediate access to medical treatment and eye surgery outside the prison and calls for opposition to his treatment to be an example of torture Zeinab Jalalian in protest of the opposition to prison authorities with his treatment outside the prison. April this year undergoes a drug strike, while due to an ocular disease, it is urgently needed to seek treatment outside the prison.

It should be noted that the judiciary and security authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while pushing Zeinab Jalalian to perform television confessions, refuse to issue a leave for this political prison, which is in the process of passing the tenth year of imprisonment.
